At Turl & Co we will be collecting various items to take over to France for the benefit of the refugees living in Calais.
We welcome any donations, but some priority items include:
- Men’s clothing, preferably sizes small and medium
- Women’s clothing, preferably sizes small and medium
- Boys clothing of all ages but preferably ages 12-17
- Wind up torches
Men’s clothing is a high priority in Calais, and any donations will be greatly appreciated.
If you would like to make a donation, please drop any items to Turl & Co Accountants.
There are almost 7000 refugees living in camps in Calais, with many more arriving each day. With the 7000 that are currently living the camp, approximately 750 children are living there, 80% of which are alone. It is possible that the number of refugees living in the camps could rise to 10000 by September 2016. The conditions they are living in are shocking, being extremely overcrowded, with many resources being stretched to be able to support as many refugees as possible.
